Thanks for the quick response to my order! Nothing puts a smile on my face like a delivery from dignify. Life is good.
The colour is exactly what we needed in our living room. With two little dogs and a cloth couch, it’s easier to wash a kantha blanket, especially at this time of year when they’re both balls of mud. I had one there, but the colours weren’t working for me.
Thanks again for the blanket and the kind note.
Here's a pic of our baby having a nap under her lovely mini throw while the older kids and dad are at the pool in Surfer's Paradise.
Love that, Tara! It's so fun for us to see our kantha as wonderful, global travel companions! ;)
This whole concept is amazing to me. I’ve never felt better about purchasing anything in my life!!!
I recently was given an indigo throwand I love it, and I really love that you are helping women who, well, that you are doing good work for those women...
Thank you so much and thank you for the work that you do.
Thanks so much, Jeanette! Enjoy that blanket :)
Last week, we had an unusually high number of encouraging comments regarding our Shop Good blog post; something obviously struck a chord talking about financial satisfaction!
I very much enjoy your e-mailed newsletter. I love the topics you tackle and how you write about them. Always a pleasure to read!
Really enjoyed reading your latest blog post on money, Shelley!
... Loved your blog post last weekend!
I am very excited to give this [mini] blanket as a gift - so many beautiful colours and patterns - it was hard to choose just one!
Just wanted to say Thank you (I already thanked my Husband who gifted me the blanket) This will be #4 now...I'm slowly replacing blankets that are worn out with kantha throws! I think that I might be a bit addicted..but that is ok!
I love each one that I have.
I love your business, your blog and your whole approach. Over the past couple of years I’ve been attempting to become much more intentional about making ethical shopping decisions. In the process I’ve been documenting the steps I’ve been taking, with a view to possibly assembling them into a kind of beginner’s guidebook that might help others. When I saw your No More Buyer’s Remorse, I shouted to my husband “Hey, this is something like I wanted to do!” Your guidebook is beautifully laid out, insightful and well written. Just wanted to say that I appreciate what you’re doing and find it very inspiring.
- Allison, this is so lovely and means SO much to me. Thank you!!
I truly cannot find words to describe my kantha throw Summersweet. I wish I had saved the image on your website. It appeared to be a light grayed blue backed with solid orange. When I first saw it I knew immediately it was what I had been searching for, for months. I bought it to match and complement the paint in my bedroom, Benjamin Moore Soft Chinchilla.
But it is not just a match, this throw defies description, and words are my passion. I have it on our bed. The bedroom changes color from a lovely sky blue during the day and strong sunlight, to a serene blue-gray sky of dusk at sundown, by lamplight. So do the blue and patterns on Summersweet.
The colors shimmer, not just between lighter and darker, but with shades and hints of color, so much that I cannot pin them down. The orange side of the kantha that I reluctantly accepted because I wanted the blue, I now embrace. It is a gorgeous color. It makes the bedroom glow with the orange of a setting sun. I fold the throw so both sides can be seen.
It took a couple days before I realized there are patches on the one side of the kantha. They blend in. It took my husband standing at just the right angle to see a third patch. A week later! And after I had looked it over closely after the first discovery to see if there were others. That third patch is virtually invisible. Shati is a very talented seamstress. I could see her creating elegant wedding gowns.
This probably sound dramatized, but I assure you it is not. I've had the throw for two weeks now, and I continue marveling at its beauty. I sent Shati a message. Maybe you've seen it? I see another throw that I immediately recognized as her work. Her kanthas are subtly elegant.
Thank you for your hand in helping these women.
