Hand-Loomed Sari Cloth Kilim Rug - Autumn
- Our kilim rugs are flat-woven pieces of textile art, hand-loomed by women with disabilities from remnants of vintage sari cloth.
- Made of reclaimed cotton sari cloth (colorful) and new cotton yarn (natural off-white).
- Loomed by hand over approximately one week, depending on ability.
- Handcrafted in Mymensingh, Bangladesh by artisans at an organization dedicated to upholding and empowering the dignity of people with disabilities.
Approximately: 2'2" x 3'6" (26 inches by 42 inches; 66cm x 110cm). This does not include the fringe.
Our kilim rugs are 100% colorfast cotton, so you will not warp or damage these rugs with washing.
We recommend regular beating or vacuuming (mind the fringe!). Seasonally, you can shampoo by hand and powerwash, as needed. The key is proper drying so that moisture can escape from all the tightly woven cloth.
