Simple & cozy... the beauty & craft of kantha meets a minimalist palette.
- Kantha quilts are six layers of sari cloth, hand-stitched together by women in Bangladesh using a traditional kantha stitch.
- Natural, unbleached cotton is not bright white, but more creamy/off-white/ivory in color. Stitching is in various shades.
- Machine washable & they get softer over time & use
- Made with dignity by a survivor, working in a sustainable, healthy work environment of love & respect.
Size
Simplicity kantha are the same size as our classic throws: 6'6" x 3'3" (2 m x 1 m)
Fabric
Outer layers are new, unbleached, muslin cotton — zero processing chemicals that are typical for new fabric.
Inner layers are recycled, cotton sari cloth.
Care
100% Machine washable & tumble dry.
Simplicity kantha are made with new cloth outer layers, making them our hardiest blanket. Cloth begins soft to the touch, but will soften even more over time & with wear.
Shipping & Returns
Shipping is $10 flat rate for one or multiple kantha throws.
